Peter Day and Robbie Booth founded Pure Heartbeat Music Ministries as a support network for New and Overseas artist coming to New Zealand. In 1994 Pure Heartbeat change focused and stared to produce and perform home-grown to create family musicals based on the stories of the Biblical musicals with wonderful results. Our Director has produced eight musicals so far. “Esther – A New Musical” in 1994 then in 1997 he took that musical to Israel, In 1998 he wrote and produced a musical on Ruth “Arise My Love’, “We like Sheep” followed then in 2001 “The Prisoners” on the life of Paul & Silas then our last one in 2005 was “In the Shadow of Messiah” based on the life of David from shepherd boy to King. He is now working on a new one “ Joshua ~ A Song of Deliverance” We are also a non profit Christian based biblical theatre company with one purpose and goal to perform the Word by using people’s abilities and talents to present the gospel through high-quality biblical musicals with a spiritually uplifting, redemptive, salvation message with Gospel themes to people of all ages.
